Readgate ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Readgate is designed to work entirely on your device. We collect as little data as possible:
All data (reading history, stats, settings) is stored locally on your iPhone using AsyncStorage and Apple's native frameworks. We do not operate any servers that store personal data.
Readgate fetches article content from the Wikipedia API (wikimedia.org). When the app requests articles, your IP address may be visible to Wikimedia's servers as part of a standard HTTPS request. Please refer to Wikimedia's Privacy Policy for details.
Readgate uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to block and unblock apps. This functionality operates entirely on your device and through Apple's system. No app usage data is transmitted to us.
Readgate does not use any third-party analytics or crash reporting services. We do not track your behavior within the app.
Readgate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
